We realize that as a fashion company, it is important to be mindful and do our part with regards to climate change and nurturing our planet. Every month at Johnny Was we contribute and align ourselves with nonprofits that are experts in maintaining our planet’s natural balance, while also championing our favorite causes and charities throughout the year. We believe that giving back is important and improves the lives of everyone. Below are a few of our ongoing partnerships.

Planet Bee
An environmental education nonprofit on a mission to illuminate kids and adults about the need for bee conservation, critical for our ecosystem. Our Johnny Was Active Collection donates a portion of all sales.

Clean Hub
Cleaning up plastics from our oceans, and working to eliminate in future waste. In 2022, Johnny Was aided in the waste collection valued at 39,000 lbs., sorting it, and helping to facilitate repurposing or recycling.

Their Carbon Balanced Paper initiative offsets the carbon emission from any office paper and our Johnny Was catalog. In conjunction with WLT our contribution helps to clear the air by aiding conservation projects.

Every October, we design Breast Cancer Awareness Month pieces for our Power of Pink program, and donate a portion of the sales from these styles to a few of our favorite nonprofit. We firmly believe it’s important for all of us to work towards finding a cure.

This female-led Washington-based non-profit focuses on lightening some of day-to-day burdens of cancer treatment by offering financial support for everything from mortgage payments to weekly grocery bills.
