Looking for a holiday gift that feels personal and gets used every day? Johnny Was throw blankets are the perfect gifts under $250 for anyone on your list. Each velvet blanket is reversible, with a different artisan-inspired design on each side, wrapping the people you love in warmth and artistry.

It’s an easy pick for the host, your mom, or the friend who always reaches for a blanket on the couch. Pair your blanket with one of our Gifts with a Cause items, which supports Five Acres, a Los Angeles organization that has served vulnerable children, youth, and families for more than 130 years. Find more ideas for everyone on your list in Home & Gifts.

Cozy Up Your Home for the Holidays

When guests arrive, a few well-placed throws make your home feel instantly welcoming. Drape reversible throw blankets over the sofa for movie nights, fold one at the foot of the guest bed, or keep a few by the fireplace for chilly evenings. Because each blanket has two designs, you can flip it to match your holiday decor from Thanksgiving dinner through New Year’s Day.

Style Overview

The blankets featured in this Johnny Was collection are inspired by a bohemian chic and vintage scarf print aesthetic. They draw heavy inspiration from traditional global textiles, artisan silk scarves, and folk art motifs.

Pattern Breakdown

• Paisley Motifs: Features detailed teardrop-shaped paisley patterns reminiscent of vintage bandana textiles.
• Intricate Floral & Botanical Elements: Multi-colored blossoms, lush foliage, and vintage-style floral vine clusters.
• Ornamental Border Frames: Structured decorative borders running along the edges, inspired by traditional silk scarf layouts and oriental rug motifs.
• Geometric & Lattice Fill: Fine geometrical background patterns, kaleidoscope-like mandalas, and repeated tile motifs that give depth to the overall composition.
• Patchwork & Scarf Print Mixing: Contrast panels that combine multiple distinct pattern blocks—mixing warm jewel tones (crimson, deep red, cobalt blue, turquoise, and gold) to create a layered, eclectic collage effect.
