As we strut into a new decade it’s a time to ponder possibilities, personal goals but (first and foremost) what to wear on New Year Eve.  If you’ve ever wanted to try sequins, head-to-toe velvet or an adorned jacket this is the evening to go for it (along with some bold, red lip). So, as we raise a glass of bubbly and say au revoir to 2019, we’ve put together a group of our favorite looks to help you countdown in style.

Layer on the Shimmer

The quickest route to festive is sequins. The Sequin Slip Dress comes in a shimmering black or rose gold and has adjustable straps to give a flawless fit and a relaxed A-line silhouette that has a fab drape and gives maximum sparkle when you walk. Cover it up with the Velvet Quilted Bomber Jacket, which is cozy, cool and covered in the season’s hottest animal print.

Slip on a Slinky Trouser

Are you a woman who prefers a trouser to a skirt? We love the look of sleek pants crafted from silk like the Claret Pant. Most lightweight trousers have an elastic or drawstring waist (an extra bonus if you’re sitting down to 5-course prix fixe). If you pick a print, pair it with an equally silky but solid blouse. If you pick a solid trouser, pair it with a luxe cashmere knit or a printed top. Finally, strappy heels are a must.

Pick a Statement Jacket

A great, bold jacket will stay in your closet forever; dress up over a slip dress like the Sienna Set for New Year’s Eve and again on January 1 for the first-of-the-year coffee run when paired with denims and fitted knit. One of our favorites is the Naomi Velvet Quilted Kimono with its rich, quilted olive hue that has been topped off with a geo, embroidered trim.

Try Some Must-Have Sparkle

There’s a myriad reasons why the Sequin Cami is the most versatile, get-glam addition to your wardrobe. If you’re hitting the dance floor, pair it with a pair of skinny denims and some heels. For a formal dinner, top it off with the Zaret Velvet Bolero Jacket or the Payden Kimono. In the new year, you could even wear it to work if you layer it under a cashmere cardigan or tailored blazer and trouser.

Pair A Maxi and a Mini Silhouette

A chic way to play with proportion and volume is to pair a maxi dress with a cropped jacket. Our Satin Slip Dress is endlessly wearable with its A-line silhouette and attached tie below the bust. When paired with a short jacket like the Kiki Crop Kimono the look is fresh, flattering and festive. Finally, both these pieces will also be on heavy rotation for weddings, garden parties and exotic vacations.
