Returns & Exchanges

The Return and Exchange Policy described below applies only to online purchases made through www.JohnnyWas.com. Items purchased at any of our retail locations must be handled in person at the original point of sale.

To be eligible for a return or exchange the item(s) must meet the following requirements:

  • Merchandise must be unworn

  • Original tags must be intact

  • Be mailed back within 30 days of the delivery date

All sales of Johnny Was Gift Cards and any jewelry are final. Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged for any credit or refund.

We aim to please, but if any item, other than Final Sale merchandise, purchased at www.JohnnyWas.com fails to meet your expectations, please follow the instructions listed below.

For Refund or Exchange of Online Purchases

  1. Send us an email at info@johnnywas.com letting us know which items you are sending back and if you wish to receive a refund or exchange. State the exact reason for the refund/exchange. We will reply to your email with a Return Authorization Number (RA).

    • If you are exchanging, let us know which item/color/size you wish to receive in exchange. We will reply to acknowledge the availability of the new items you wish to order.

  2. Pack and seal your return merchandise securely (in the original packaging if possible) and include a slip of paper with your name, email address, phone number and your Return Authorization Number (RA). Items without a RA number will be refused and sent back to you at your own cost.

  3. Boldly write the Return Authorization Number on the front of the box so that it is easily visible.

  4. Mail the package to:

    Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. You will be responsible for any return shipping costs. You may opt to use an insured delivery service, as JohnnyWas.com cannot accept responsibility for items not received or damaged in transit.

Returning or Exchanging Defective or Wrong Items

Defective items may be refunded or exchanged for the same item only. Please note that all defective items are subject to inspection.

Follow the instructions above for Returns and Exchanges. When sending your email, please include the following:

  • If the item(s) sent was a defect or wrong item.
  • Describe the defect and if you would like a replacement or refund.

Upon inspection, if the item(s) is deemed defective or if we confirm that the wrong item(s) were shipped, an exact replacement, if available, will be shipped to you free of charge. If your exact replacement is out of stock, we will process a refund back to the original order payment method.

Upon inspection, if the item(s) is deemed defective or wrong item(s) were shipped, your return shipping cost will be credited back to the original form of payment method used in the original order.

The shipping credit amount is subject to the following for returns for United States, APO/FPO and U.S territory addresses:

  • If UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, DHL Ground or USPS Priority Mail is used, full amount will be reimbursed.
  • If overnight, 2 day, or 3 day service is used, only the amount UPS Ground would have charged for the same return will be refunded to you, not the actual amount spent.

For returns from International addresses, the shipping credit amount is subject to the following:

  • If standard shipping method is used the full amount will be reimbursed. If any express shipping is used, only the amount USPS First-Class Mail International would have charged for the same return will be refunded to you, not the actual amount spent.

Refund Process

Within the United States:
Allow 2-3 weeks from the return shipped date for your account to be credited. As well as, 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.

International and APO/FPO Addresses:
Allow 4-6 weeks from the return shipped date for your account to be credited. As well as, 2-3 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.

Price Adjustments

If you have recently purchased an item that is now on sale, Johnny Was will gladly offer you a price adjustment and refund the difference to your original form of payment. Price adjustments will only be applied if the original shipment date was within 14 days of the new sale price.

Holiday Return and Exchange Policy

Johnny Was offers an extended Return and Exchange Policy on all orders placed during the period of November 23rd – December 24th. If you wish to return or exchange items purchased during this time period, they must be returned to us by January 30th. All other return and exchange requirements apply, see above for details and instructions.
